1-99 Strength Guide!!
Strength, the most popular 99 in the game of Runescape for both F2P (Free-to-Play) and P2P (Members, Pay-to-Play). If you don’t know what Runescape is, it is a Massive Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game (MMORPG) that you play directly from your browser. Like I mentioned before, there are two ways to play the game. Free-to-Play and Pay-to-Play or most commonly known as members. This guide will show you how to get 99 Strength as a F2P whether your a Pure or a Non-Pure.
Before the Guide

« RuneScape’s Little SecretsHow to Become a RuneScape Moderator »All food should be bought on the Grand Exchange for medium or low price. Maximum price will make you lose too much money. Armour should also be bought of the Grnd Exchange. Pures, your defence level should always stay at 1! And Pures, always wield a one-handed weapon, leaving the other hand for a shield.
The Guide
1-10 Strength (Get 10 Attack here too, and 10 Defence if you are a Non-Pure) Chickens
These little creatures are just North East of Lumbridge. You shouldn’t need food as they hardly hit anything, but if you find they hit too often, bring food. Pick up all feathers that the chickens drop and sell on Grand Exchnge to make back a bit of profit. Pures should wield Full Iron and Non-Pures, just wield the best armour you can wield, or that you can afford.
10-20 Strength (Get 20 Attack here too, and 20 defence if you are a Non-Pure) Cows
Cows, just across the road from chickens, are the best monsters to kill at this level. If you want to make money while you train, pick up the cow’s cowhides and bank them at Lumbridge or Al Kharid bank. They sell for 100 gp each. 10-20 Strength shouldn’t take too long. Pures should stay with full Iron armour with the best weapon they can wield. Whereas Non-Pures, always update your armour and weapong to the best you can wield.
20-50 Strength (Non-Pures) Flesh Crawlers
This is probably the best place to train from 20-40 Strength and 20-40 Defence and Attack. I suggest the any of the Flesh Crawlers in the Stronghold of Security Level 1. I believe you should now bring food, so you can last longer at the location, and so you don’t die. Their max hit is only 1, and I must admmit, they never hit 1. bring the best armour and weapon you can. Use tuna or Lobsters as food. Here you should get 40 Defence and Attack.
20-30 Strength (Pures) Monks
These guys hang out at the Monastery just North West of Edgeville. While your here, get 30 Attack too. They are level 5 combat and yet have 15 hitpoints. They have level one in all combat stats so they are easy peasy to kill. This is the best option to get 30 Strength and Attack as a Pure. Again, equip Full Iron and the best weapon you can. This should only take about an hour to get to 30.
30-40 Strength (Pures) Level 12 Minotaurs
These guys are located on level 1 in the Security of Stronghold, and they are the best monsters to train on at the moment. I would bring food, and pick up all worthy loots. Pick up all arrows they drop, because it could accumilate to a big profit at the end. Wear Full Iron again and wield the best weapon you can. It really shouldn’t take long to get 40 Strength. Don’t forget to get 40 Attack too!
50-55 Strength (Non-Pures) Hill Giants
These Giants are located in Edgeville Dungeon, which can be accessed just south-west of of Cook’s Guild in the little shack. You need a brass key to enter. I recommend bringing food, and burying the big bones the Giants drop. This is if you want Prayer levels though. Here you should get 50 Defence and Attack. Wear the best armour you can (should be Rune), and wield the best weapon (again, should be Rune). I do suggest bringing food just in case.
55-65 Strength (Non-Pures) Zombies/Rats
These guys are in Level 2 Stronghold of Security. They have a low defence, low attack and yet have a high Hitpoints level. The problem is that the place is usually crowded, which means you have to go on a low world, which means slow respawns. I suggest bring food, and the best armour and weapon you can wield. While your here, get 65 Attack and Defence too, but that is if you want it. Pick up their loot of steel arrows, which can be sold on the Grand Exchange which mean more profit!
40-99 Strength (Pures) Flesh Crawlers/Level 27 Minotaurs
These are your best bet to get 99 Strength with only 1 Defence and 40 Attack. Wield Full Iron armour with a Rune Scimitar. 40-99 Strength is a long, hard and very annoying journey. With the Minotaurs and Flesh Crawlers, bring food. Its a must! Only pick up the Arrows and the Food that the Minotaurs drop, and whatever you think will pick up a good price on the Grand Exchange with the Flesh Crawlers. This will probably cost you more on the food than you get back from the drops. The Minotaurs are in level 1 Stronghold of Security and the Flesh Crawlers are on level 2 Stronghold of Security.
65-99 Strength Method 1 (Non-Pures) Giant Spiders
The best method to get 99 Strength as a Free-to-Play by far! You average about 40K/hr in experience which is the best you can get as a Free-to-Play. Equip Full Rune with a Rune Scimitar and a Power Amulet. Bring a full Inventory of Lobsters or Swordfish as the spiders don’t drop any loot at all. You lose possibly up to 5M in cash using this method because of food. It is a long method, but definately the fastest. These are found in Stronghold of Security level 3. You can get 99 Attack and defence too this way, but I suggest this as a different journey.
65-99 Strength Method 2 (Non-Pures) Lesser Demons
These guys give poor experience, but have a very low defence level and up to a Rune Medium-Helmet Drop. Even though its only worth 11K, its better money than nothing (spiders). The Lessers also drop other good drops which can fetch up to 5K (uncut diamonds). So at least you get back some money, but you pay for it in the huge amount of loss in experience compared to the Giant Spiders. The best place to fight Lesser Demons is under the Karamja Volcano and the nearest bank is in Draynor Bank. You can get 99 Attack and defence too this way, but again, I suggest this as a different journey.
